Payment options

Private Box works on a pre-paid basis. You must have credit in your Private Box account (or have a credit card connected to the account) in order to use our services.

There are four payment options: 

 

1. Credit card

This is the preferred option. You can add & remove credit cards on your Private Box account under Billing settings

Private Box accepts the following cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Dinners Card

2. Direct Debit 

A direct debit will mean that Private Box can automatically process a payment request to be paid from your nominated New Zealand bank account as funds are required. 

All direct debit users must maintain a prepaid balance of $50, so our team will process a payment any time your balance goes below this amount.

You will be emailed at least 3 days prior to your payment being processed through your bank to let you know that we are about to process a direct debit for you, and we will also notify you of the amount we will be debiting.

3. Direct Credit Bank transfer

This method of payment is only available for business customers who wish to submit more than $100NZD in funds per transaction. 

For transactions with less than $100NZD there will be a $4NZD admin fee charged.

Note for international transfers: There is a $15NZD fee charged by ASB, and additional fees may be charged by the sending bank for international transfers. These are paid by the payee. We recommend using a TransferWise for fast low fee international transfers. 

Please be sure to include your suite number or company name as the reference for the payment.

Depending on which bank you are using, there can be a variation on the time it takes before the payment is received by our finance team and the funds allocated to your account.  Please allow between 5-7 business days for your payment to appear on your Private Box account. 

 

4. PayPal

This method should only be used when all other options are unavailable/inaccessible.  You will need to use a credit card to set up your account with Private Box, and make at least one credit card payment before the PayPal option will be allowed as an option.

This method is only available to personal customers and the minimum purchase is $100NZD.

You will need to provide the email address associated with your PayPal account. We will create an invoice in PayPal and send to the email address provided. Your account will be credited once confirmation of payment has been received from PayPal.
