We have very strict privacy laws in New Zealand, and we also have a very strict policy ensuring that your privacy is safe with us. However we cannot guarantee that your mail will not be opened, as any Customs Departments here or abroad may potentially inspect your mail.

If you have selected to have any of your mail scanned, whether manually selected or automatically selected to be scanned we will of course have to open your mail to process the scans.
Sending merchandise and packages internationally
We must open and check any parcels being forwarded internationally, as we need to check the contents to ensure that any customs labels we write for your parcel are correct. We must be careful to ensure the contents are fully declared and will also ensure that the value is accurately recorded on the customs declaration.
Identifying the mail recipient
Very rarely we may need to open an item to try to identify the recipient. This usually only occurs if mail has arrived with no name, or other information to be able to identify who the mail belongs to.
Incorrectly addressed mail
If your mail arrives with an incorrect suite number or incorrect address, then the mail could be opened by whomever may have received the item in error. It is very important to ensure that you are correctly addressing your mail at all times to prevent any possible errors.
